June Developer Update!

Let's check out what's on the horizon for June and recap what went down in May!

New ability types

Yes, you read that right. Your first opportunity to try out one of the new abilities will be June 16th. Keep your eyes peeled for the card leading the charge.

Speaking of peeled (?!) - the inaugural card of the highly anticipated Fruit and Veg collection drops this month - and it has one of these new ability types. It’s a card you’ve been begging for… you crazy bunch.

June Balance Patch

Tune into our news posts and socials as we’ve got a June balance patch on the way,  tuning up some niche cards and incorporating some community suggestions.

(Big thanks to our community for the feedback that goes into these balance updates. Keep it coming!)

New card highlights

There's still plenty to look forward to in Season 4:

  • Yggdrasil (Norse Mythology) - Move over, Giant Sequoia - you’ve got nothing on Yggdrasil, the colossal, cosmic ash tree of Norse Mythology whose branches span the Nine Realms.
  • Golden Legend (Documented) - Depicting the lives of the saints through an enchanting mix of fact and fiction, The Golden Legend offered tales of miracles, martyrdoms, and divine adventures that left readers spellbound.
  • Nyctophobia (Fears and Phobias) - Rooted deeply in the human psyche, this phobia is not just about the absence of light but what lurks unseen within it.

Community events to get stuck into!

We’ll leave you with some dates so you can update your calendars:

  • Season 4 Art Competition* - 10th June - 14th June (Discord)

May Recap

Card highlights from Season 3

Japanese Folklore thrived, and we saw powerful decks built around Blood and the Devil. (Thankfully, those two don’t work together.)

  • Oni (Japanese Folklore) - (Limited Legendary) - 4/40 - When drawn, for every Japanese Folklore card in your hand, your Japanese Folklore cards in hand gain +5 Power until played. When played, for every Japanese Folklore card in hand, your Japanese Folklore cards, wherever they are, gain +2 power permanently.
  • Speak of the Devil (World of Words) - (Limited Legendary) - 8/55 - When played, for every card in your deck with ‘Devil’ in the name, to a maximum of 12, your cards, wherever they are, gain +3 power until played.
  • Asanbosam (West African Folklore) - (Limited Legendary) - 7/0 - When drawn, for every card in your deck with ‘Blood’ in the name, this card gains +20 power permanently.

Events: In the Round recap!

We had a blast watching you throw yourselves into In the Round at the end of season 3. Whether you were hunting down all new rewards or building an event conquering deck, we were thrilled to see players getting stuck in.

(Erm… Apart from the first 2 hours when a player sent us an outrageous score that caused a mild panic. Thankfully, we quickly realised everything was working as planned.)

Again, thank you for all the feedback you gave during the event. We’re very keen to keep Events coming back, maybe another fan favourite is on the way soon…

Keep it CUE!
