Today's new card, available in the Space Great Beyond Pack, is Pioneer 10!
Pioneer 10's mission was to go to Jupiter, take photos of the surface and beam them back to Earth. After completing its mission it behaved, well, pretty much how Dan is behaving now - wandering off in a perfectly straight line after a job well done.
It became the first man-made object to achieve escape velocity and leave the Solar System. We lost contact with it in 2003, although it's still travelling through the cosmos, and will keep going until some Klingons decide to take pot-shots at it after it passes into their space.
