November Developer Update!

(Middle) Shoutout to Lucaspotato for their amazing artwork in the Season 7 Art Competition.

Let's see what's on the horizon for November and recap what went down in October…

Season 8 is looming

We’re waving goodbye to Twisted Tales this week and things are getting frosty as we prepare for an adventure into Season 8!

Keep a keen eye out for our Season teasers and developer deep dives releasing later this week.

New achievement rewards

We're excited to introduce new achievement rewards this month, allowing players to reach milestones all the way up to 500!

With fresh reward tiers available, it's time to gather your card combos and get them ready for battle.

New card highlights

Season 8 brings some incredible cards. Egyptian Mythology, Planetside, and Fiction and Fantasy are looking to receive some brand new additions next season:

  • Lake of Fire (Egyptian Mythology) - Welcome to The Lake of Fire, the ultimate test in the afterlife! Contestants, or rather, the souls of the deceased, must traverse the treacherous, scorching waters of the Duat, the realm of the dead.
  • Tenzing Montes (Planetside) - Named after Tenzing Norgay, one of the first humans to summit Everest, these frosty wonders soar up to 20,000 feet—impressive until one remembers they're on a world so small it lost planetary status.
  • Captain Hook (Fiction and Fantasy) - Forget Jack Sparrow's drunken swagger; Captain Hook's got an Eton education and a timepiece-toting crocodile on his tail. J.M. Barrie's creation is the poster child for antagonists with depth.

October Recap

Card highlights from Season 7

Our recap packs bring back some standouts from last month…

  • Shoggoth (Horrible Halloween) - Move over, gelatin desserts! There's a new blob in town, and it's definitely not edible. Introducing the Shoggoth, H.P. Lovecraft's amorphous nightmare fuel.
  • Funeral Bell (Funki Fungi) - Also known as the deadly skullcap, the Funeral Bell is the last ingredient you'd want in your risotto unless you're gunning for a Darwin Award.
  • Krasue (Horrible Halloween) - Originating from tales of curses and black magic, the Krasue serves as a haunting reminder that looks can be deceiving.

October Balance Patch

We went all out with a buff-heavy balance patch last month, bringing support to Aztec Mythology, Classic Elements and much more. We also saw some tweaks to the Four Horsemen of the apocalypse; it’s wise to keep them happy.

Thank you for all the feedback on card balance - keep it coming - and keep it CUE!
