Welcome Foolish Mortals

The CUE Spookfest Mansion is officially open for visitors. As the door opens with a slow, resounding creak, we invite you inside for two weeks of hauntingly good fun. Mind the cobwebs and if you hear ghostly footsteps, pay no mind, that’s just the poor souls who didn’t make it out last time.

9:00 UTC

Start of the week with a bump with the Treasure of Terror pack. This will stock you up with enough coins, gems, cards and generators to buy yourself a whole wing of the Mansion. Just be wary of what else might be lurking in these haunted halls.

The Spookfest League pack pops up and you might jump as you’re bombarded with cards from Venomous Creatures, Innovations of War, and Japanese Folklore. Don’t worry, that’s the last jumpscare of the week…or is it?!

The first of the 2022 Horrible Halloween cards launches in a free pack today. You may hear the old pipe organ shriek into life as the Phantom of the Opera heralds your arrival in the Mansion. When played, if played next to exactly one other card, give your Horrible Halloween cards +18 Power until played.

12:00 UTC

The Epic Monday pack lands on the desk of the dusty old library with a thump, bringing with it the master of murderous tales, Truman Capote. Take down your opponents In Cold Blood and, when drawn, give your opponent's cards -10 Power this turn, and give your The Write Stuff cards +18 Power until played.

While you’re in the library, if you notice a shiny looking chest in the corner, it’s all yours! Pick up the Freaky Freebie pack with 1 random Horrible Halloween card and 10,000 coins. What a lovely treat after all these tricks!

15:00 UTC

We hope you haven’t eaten yet because you’ll say goodbye to your lunch once you see the new card in today’s Life on Land Finder. It’s the bloody disgusting Bleeding Tooth Fungus. Once you’re finished retching, when returned to your deck, if you lost the turn, your Brilliant Human body cards in hand cost -2 Energy until played.

17:00 UTC

You may notice some tentacles snaking up from the Mansion basement. Don’t worry, it’s only the Cephalopods pack. With more suckers than you can shake a big stick at, you’ll want to snatch this up before it sinks back into the Mansion moat, never to be seen again.

-----------------------

LEAGUE RULES

-----------------------

This week, there’s a Starting Energy of 15, an Energy per Turn of 13, a Maximum Energy of 25 and a Minimum Energy of 8. There’s nothing spookier than running out of Energy, so be careful…

It’s only right that Horrible Halloween gets +100 Power this week. We’ll be releasing some scary new monsters for the next two weeks, but there’s some cards in the game already that will really shine in this league.

Ghost’s massive Energy creation should come in very handy, while Count Dracula finally has his chance to shine - as when played on the Halloween Arena, he gives an awesome +80 Power to Horrible Halloween cards on the turn he is played!

Monsters of the Deep get +50 Power, while Venomous Creatures get +70, so it could be a great time to pair up deep sea scorpion Eurypterus with some freaky beasties like Bothrops Atrox and Yellowjacket.

Innovations of War get +60 Power, Japanese Folklore (yep, Shinigami too) gets +50 Power and Tarot gets +50 Power, so prepare your Hierophant combos.
