Annabelle: the icon, the legend, the haunted Raggedy Ann doll. Gifted to a student nurse in 1970, she wasted no time stirring up supernatural mischief. A psychic medium chimed in, claiming the doll was inhabited by the spirit of a deceased girl named Annabelle.

Naturally, the nurse did what any rational person would—she nurtured the spirit-possessed doll until things took a sinister turn. When the doll's antics went from "quirky roommate" to "call an exorcist," she called in the Warrens, ghost-busting power couple extraordinaire.

They pronounced Annabelle demonically possessed (shocker) and gave her a new home in their occult museum. There, she chilled in a glass box until the museum’s closure in 2019. Wherever she is now, her legacy lives on in The Conjuring Universe.
