We may throw its name around to describe pretty much anything that’s large in size, but Behemoth is actually a being in its own right. Originating in the biblical Book of Job, this beast is a “chaos monster” that God made at the beginning of creation along with another monster called Leviathan.

Most interpretations of Behemoth say its appearance is like that of an animal of the natural world – most commonly, the hippopotamus, but it’s also been interpreted to look like the elephant, the crocodile and the water buffalo. According to Jewish legend, Leviathan and Behemoth will battle each other at the end of time, but then their mighty Creator will take his mighty sword and slay them both. #FATALITY
