Corn is a tall, nu-tritious crop that’s been around for centuries – not to be confused with KoЯn, which is a tall, nu-metal band that’s been around since the '90s.

In the late 1400s, Christopher Columbus returned to Europe with corn seeds, eager to introduce his golden bounty of shimmering kernels. Alas, we weren’t ready – European farmers took one look and went, “What in the name of trusty, reliable wheat is this?” before promptly killing it off.

Corn is also known as maize, based on the Taino word “mahiz,” which is roughly translated as “sacred mother” or “giver of life.” Tell me about it – a large tub of sweet and salted is the only thing giving me life when I’m sat watching a 3-hour Oscar-tipped war epic.
