Clingy folk can be insufferable but clingy plants can be even worse. We’re looking at you Cuscuta.
Clingy folk can be insufferable but clingy plants can be even worse. We’re looking at you Cuscuta. Worse still than just perpetually asking why you haven’t texted back or if you still like them, Cuscuta is a parasitic plant, carrying viruses from plant to plant as it spreads. No wonder we stopped messaging them back.
Native to South America, Cuscuta is more commonly known as Dodder (and several variations of this - Golden Dodder, Yellow Dodder, Prairie Dodder). As they can’t photosynthesise for themselves, they wrap themselves around other plants and steal their nutrients. Which really does make them worse than that ex who kept asking your mates what you were up to three months after you broke up.
