Perhaps one of the cutest creatures of Oceania, the Eastern Quoll looks like a cross between Bambi and a possum and is about the size of a small cat. What makes these creatures distinctive is those characteristic white patches that both the fawn and black coloured quolls have on their coats. Hey, polka dots are always in vogue! These creatures are fairly solitary and will scent mark their homes to ward away intruders. When an animal dares trespass on its property, the eastern quoll will hiss, cough and make sharp shrieking sounds. If the intruder still doesn’t leave, the quoll will resort to drastic measures, chasing the home invader away and wrestling it with its jaws, all while standing on its hind legs.
