Practised in countries such as Nigeria, Benin, Togo, Ghana, and Cameroon, Juju is a powerful and complex spiritual belief system that is deeply ingrained in West African culture. At its core, Juju involves the use of charms, amulets, and rituals to harness spiritual energy for various purposes. Need some good luck? There's a Juju for that. Want to put a curse on your enemy? Yep, Juju can do that too. But be careful - Juju is not something to be messed with lightly.

Historically, Juju has been associated with controversial practices, including human sacrifice documented by 19th-century explorers and merchants. The term "juju" is believed to derive from the French word "joujou," which means "toy" or "plaything," though some sources claim it is from the Hausa language, meaning “fetish” or “evil spirit” which feels more accurate.
