If you thought you were at least safe from spiders underwater, we’ve got some bad news. Meet the Diving Bell Spider, the only known spider to live underwater. Since the spider still has to breathe oxygen, it spins a fine web to trap a bubble that becomes its air supply and its home. It’s also where the spider takes unfortunate tadpoles, small fish and invertebrates to feast on, since it's killer digestive juices would be diluted underwater.
