Together, they can attack everything in their path, including snakes, birds, mammals and even Cate Blanchett. They may be small compared to human armies, but when a colony of this size gathers, their marching feet can be heard from standing nearby.

Also, let's not forget that Driver Ant queens are the largest queens of all ants, measuring between 40-63 millimetres. That’s roughly the length of a AA battery. After mating, the queen lays 1,000,000 eggs per month, setting in motion the succession plan for her ant-tastic empire.
