Eiffel 65 may not have been musing upon the life of the Blue Crayfish when they wrote Blue (Da Ba Dee Da Ba Di)
"Yo, listen up, here's a story
About a little cray
That lives, in a blue... sea...
And all day and all night
And everything he sees is just blue
Like him, inside and outside.
Blue his shell
With the blue little... pincers...
And a blue... cephalothorax ...
And everything is blue for him
And himself and everybody around
Cause he ain't got nobody to listen to...
Eiffel 65 may not have been musing upon the life of the Blue Crayfish when they wrote Blue (Da Ba Dee Da Ba Di), but if they were they clearly didn't stop to think that, maybe, the Blue Crayfish ain't got nobody to listen to because they're kind of antisocial jerks.
They're cannibals, for one thing, and they won't think twice about eating their own species. They also urinate as a way to attract mates (presumably the ones they haven't eaten yet), and if they do mate, there's no guarantee they won't eat their babies. More like Rude (Da Ba Dee Da Ba Di)."
