Fallstreak Hole

Ever looked up and seen a massive chunk of cloud just... missing? Like the sky glitched and forgot to load a texture pack? That’s a Fallstreak Hole.

Ever looked up and seen a massive chunk of cloud just... missing? Like the sky glitched and forgot to load a texture pack? That’s a Fallstreak Hole – basically, a cloud that rage-quit mid-session. It’s giving Truman Show finale, like you’re about to hit the sky wall and leave the simulation. So, what’s really happening? Well, clouds contain supercooled water - that is, liquid that remains unfrozen despite freezing temperatures.

Then – bam – a plane slices through. This kicks off the Wegener-Bergeron-Findeisen process (which sounds like a law firm but is just a fancy name for “ice crystal growth”). The crystals fall, the cloud de-spawns, and you’re left with a giant hole. In conclusion: Not aliens. Not a glitch in the Matrix. Just the sky failing to buffer. Try turning the Earth off and on again.
