It’s the stone of unconditional love, thought to open the heart, increase self-love, promote inner peace and bring harmony in a relationship. Rose Quartz, named for its delicate pink colour, was first discovered near Custer, South Dakota, in the 1880s and has been mined across the land ever since.
Unlike true love, it’s not that rare - in fact, it’s one of the most common minerals on Earth. It’s no real struggle to find if you know where to look. As well as North America, you can find Rose Quartz in abundance in Madagascar, India and Brazil. And hey, who knows - you might even find true love in your travels. And if you don’t, at least you’ll have a pretty gemstone.
