Watch someone fall into a Supermassive Black Hole and you’ll notice that Time isn’t Running Out, it’s just slowing down. This is explained by Einstein’s Theory of General Relativity, which states that time is affected by how fast you are going when you’re at extreme speeds close to light.Supermassive black holes are the biggest black holes in the universe, some of which have masses billions of times that of our sun. Scientists say they appeared shortly after the Big Bang and believe they exist at the centre of every galaxy.
Our resident black hole is known as Sagittarius A*. It’s about 27,000 light-years away from Earth and appears to us to have about the same size in the sky as a donut on the Moon.
