Okay, so Bob Ross didn’t paint Vinicunca - but it wouldn’t be hard to believe. The mountain is made up of 14 different minerals that give it this colourful effect
All right, we're gonna use a fan brush here and dip it into some Alizarin Crimson, and just drag it across the canvas in a happy little triangle. Okay, so Bob Ross didn’t paint Vinicunca - but it wouldn’t be hard to believe. The mountain is made up of 14 different minerals that give it this colourful effect - the red created by clay, the turquoise from phyllite compounds and the yellow from calcareous sandstone and limestone rich in sulphurous minerals.
Found in the Andes of Peru, Vinicunca has an unpredictable climate. In the space of an hour, weather can switch from snow to rain to blistering sunshine.
